A love letter to readers of Sri Lanka
We are an independent online bookstore helping book lovers, students, parents and children find the right book and get it home quickly.
Our story
It began with a missing book
Like many readers in Sri Lanka, we spent weekends going from shop to shop looking for one particular novel. Often we came home without it. Friends outside Colombo had it even harder, and parents struggled to find good children’s books in one place.
So we started Dear Readers, an online bookstore built around one idea: finding and buying a book should be as enjoyable as reading it. We gathered the titles readers kept asking for, set up careful packaging and partnered with reliable couriers to reach every district.
Today we serve book lovers, students, families and schools across the island. Every order is still checked and packed by hand, and some still go out with a little handwritten note.
The first shelf
A small curated list of novels and children’s books, shared with friends and family.
